I rely on my instincts far too much for grammar, but I’ll take a shot at this. The “I’d had” is always troubling, but it all looks good. I think the “I wish I didn’t” (3.) should be “I wish I hadn’t worked so hard”. I await my score.
A BILLION POINTS TO YOU!!
“I wish I didn’t” is a continuous past (indicating that it...
I hope that in this year to come, you make mistakes.
Because if you are making...

Addendum
I don’t think I made it clear enough in my first post so I will stress it again: this is not a film for everyone. When it was screened at Cannes there were reports of fainting and vomiting. This film does as art (such as it is) is sometimes wont to do and exaggerates each aspect of the human condition to astronomical proportions.
There are scenes that make my stomach turn, and I came up in...
This is just the coolest thing ever. I received a very thoughtful and greatly appreciated message from a pretty cool friend of mine. Although I don’t inherently write for other people (unless they’re paying me), to know that people appreciate what I do means the world to me. I’m not the most gifted writer, but I always write from a place of sincerity and I can only hope it gets...
An Absolute Must Read
http://exposingthetruth.info/top-five-regrets-of-the-dying/
This article reveals the top five regrets of the dying. I urge you to read it and then read it again until this all sinks in. I try to live each day of my life with these things in mind. I will give you the top five here, but click through for an enlightening and more in-depth explanation of each point.

New Year's resolutions - get mad about things
porterdavis:
There are a couple of things to get very, very angry about. The Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) is one. Here’s a good description of it and why it threatens the very existence of the internet.
Next up is the continued malevolent behaviour of the TBTF banks. They’re not just greedy, they’re felonious. Matt Taibbi is again on the case.
If you have any remaining indignation to spare,...

Driven Like the Snow
How different Christmas is for me now. In years past, this would be the day when I woke up at the crack of dawn and ran downstairs to devour the sea of presents my parents had procured for me. They each had issues showing their love for us emotionally, so we always got the latest and greatest for Christmas in exchange.
Today I’m listening to Sisters of Mercy in bed alone, fighting the urge...
Falling down the stairs...
…Is every bit as fun as it sounds.
Sometimes when you ignore the signs telling you you need to take better care of yourself, the universe straight-up pistol whips you into paying attention.
Spending Christmas bloody, bruised, and mildly concussed is becoming a pattern for me. Ugh.
A preview of what is to come.

My Fondest Memory
Because I believe in balance in the universe, I figured I’d share one of my happiest memories to counterbalance having shared one of my most difficult ones.
2010, July. Myself and my dear friend and colleague Adrian (pictured above) have been hand-picked by my Latin professor Dr. Harrison and his wife Dr. Francis (who is my thesis supervisor) to accompany them to the stunning island of...
