Last night was the cast and crew pre screening of Way Off Broadway episode 1 and 2. It needs to be said: this show is incredible. I’m not just saying that because I’m in it and I dearly love every single person who was involved with it. It’s actually phenomenal. I was riotously laughing, then tearing up, then laughing again. It has so much heart and is unlike anything I’ve seen on tv in a long time.
We are just over a week away from our national television debut, and while I have no idea what is in store for us, I could not be more humbled, proud, and grateful of what we all managed to accomplish.
Also, thank you so much to all of my friends and family who supported me all through shooting; allowing me to pop my head off and vent to them about the chaos and the long hours and all the other stuff that didn’t really matter because I was having the time of my life.
To my boss at my OTHER job who is also the woman whom I’ve adopted as my second mom: thanks for not firing me for always being late, gone, or for singing and dancing constantly in the store (sometimes with our customers).
Finally, thank you so much to the cast and crew who were so full of heart and positive energy, and without whom none of this would have been possible. I feel truly blessed to know all of you. Your hard work and dedication is an example to us all of what true passion, and astonishing work ethic looks like.
I think one of the crew members Edwin summed it up perfectly last night. He said, “you know, in this industry we work on a lot of garbage; a lot of stuff that we’re not always proud of. I’m not only proud of this project, but I feel lucky to have been a part of it”.
So turn on your tv friday night at 8 pm EST (or if you’re like me and don’t have a tv/work friday nights, you can watch it after it airs on BRAVOs website), and come with us on this crazy and wonderful adventure. I promise you won’t regret it.
